Antique Japanese Signed Cast Iron Tetsubin Tea Pot Pearl Bead Design
This is a special Japanese cast iron tea pot which dates to the late Meiji Era c. 1912 and has an overall design of pearl beads (see enlarged pictures). The handle has a forged iron twisted design (see picture 4) to better insulate against heat. There is a signature of the artist on front side near the spout, (see last picture). This tea pot has been well used yet well loved and, other than some minor oxidation it remains in fine condition. It is water tight and measures about 6 1/4" diameter (16 cm) by 4 1/2" tall (12 cm) not including handle or spout. It holds about one liter of liquid and does very well over flame. You'll love it, I guarantee it......... Satisfaction Guarantee: All items are carefully described and photographed.
