HEXAGONAL JAPANESE CAST IRON CHAGAMA BY SATO JOSEI. Up for your consideration is a hexagonal cast iron chagama. It was made by Japanese metalworker Sato Josei. The lower side of the chagama is marked Josei.It comes with its original wooden box. Handle rings are not included.

Mid to Late 20th century. Height (up to top of lid knob)- 20.0 cm (7.87 in), Width (maximum)- 21.8 cm (8.58 in), Opening- 10.5 cm (4.13 in). 2925 g (4000 g including box). Some wear, rust, discoloration, etc.
